Taiko Japanese Drumming with drum4fun

Taiko

The traditional folk drumming of Japan, Taiko is well known for its exhilarating style of playing. Playing Taiko involves your whole body; it’s a great way to build connections within a group and to get everyone connected with each other.

The word taiko (太鼓) means simply "drum" in Japanese (etymologically "great" or "wide drum"). Taiko drums are just so dramatic; played with sticks, the sight of the drum alone fills you with awe and excitement; people can’t wait to play them when they see them!

Taiko can be used for:

  • Corporate team building
  • Teambuilding exercises
  • School workshops
  • Themed parties
  • Community events
  • Youth Activities
