African Dance

Drum4Fun are absolutely delighted to offer authentic African drumming workshops. Ideal for Corporate Events, Schools, Youth Groups and Festivals.

Our dance teachers and Choreographers guide participants through easy to learn movements and steps, with live drumming. An unforgettable experience that is loads of fun!

Our associated dance facilitators include:

Kristian Bediiako; a composer and choreographer from Ghana, who has been part of the African dance scene since the 1980s.

Dennis Eluyefa; a Nigerian performance artist who specialises in African dance choreography.

King Masco; the renowned African dance master and drummer from Sierra Leone.

Sekou Keita; who is a dancer and choreographer from Guinea.

Nina Hytten; founder of Earthbeat, a multi-cultural creative arts club for children, has been facilitating African Dance Workshopsvover the past two years. Nina performs with Kissyfaramaya, a Brighton based African dance and drumming troupe.

Gaina Stanley; has toured and performed with African Dance Companies Kakande and Abeng. Gaina teaches African and Contemporary Dance in schools. She also reaches movement to children with special needs and performs with Kissyfaramaya.

Drum4Fun are a mobile organisation with a vast collection of African percussion and drums. We offer sessions from 1 to 1,000 people and from 1 hour to all day. African dance combines the spirit with the body and soul. African dance comes from within, and is firmly rooted in traditional culture. The results are improved fitness, less stress and spiritual well-being, with the added bonus of cultural diversity.
